Kate Hurson is the mother of Scott, who has been a KEEN athlete for over 10 years. Kate has served on the KEEN Greater DC board for most of that time, and is currently in her third term as vice president. She chairs the communications committee, produces the in-house graphics and media work, develops KEEN’s merchandise and apparel, and oversees the website. She also serves on the executive committee and nominations committee. She played an active role in KEEN’s national expansion and serves on the Board of KEEN USA where she continues to work on communications issues. Kate’s goals are to make KEEN available to more kids and to help put membership in KEEN on par with sports and recreation programs for those with no special needs.
