Sheila Sankaran first got involved with KEEN in 1994 as a volunteer coach. A few years later, she joined the Coaches Committee and eventually became involved in fundraising and communications activities. A member of the Board of Directors since 2000, Sheila co-chairs KEENFest (KEEN's fall fundraising event) and contributes to communications materials, such as the annual report and the KEEN brochure. Sheila also serves on the Board of KEEN USA, the national umbrella organization she helped form in 2005. Sheila works for the Economic Research Service, an agency of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, as Executive Editor of Amber Waves, the agency's flagship publication.
