Staff

Beata Okulska
Executive Director

Beata Okulska assumed her duties as Executive Director of KEEN Greater DC in 2001. As Executive Director, she is responsible for the day-to-day management of the organization and its programs, which includes working with KEEN's families, volunteers, and supporters.

Beata Okulska is a native of Poland and came to the United States in 1986. She holds a master's degree in economics from Warsaw School of Economics.

Formerly, she worked for the Epilepsy Foundation, where she served as Program Director, and as Director in the Affiliate Relations Department. Through the programs for which she was responsible, she had the chance to work with many families, children, teens, and adults affected by epilepsy and other disabilities.

Mary Rosenstein
Program Manager

Mary Rosenstein just recently began her part-time position as Program Manager in June 2006. She has a master’s degree in Early Childhood Development from the Erikson Institute in Chicago and worked as a play therapist and consultant to an early stimulation program for children with developmental delays at the Hill Health Center in New Haven, Ct. She is a parent of a child with disabilities and has been involved with KEEN for ten years.

Denise Brownlee
Development Director

Denise Brownlee began working with KEEN in March of 2004. As KEEN’s Development Director she plans and executes KEEN’s fundraising events, targets grant and foundation prospects and assists in the creation and production of the annual report, brochures and other communication materials. Denise’s role is critical to KEEN's mission of providing all of our programs free-of-charge to our athletes, their families and caregivers. Denise has extensive experience in marketing, communications and fundraising with major corporations and nonprofit organizations. In addition to her work with KEEN, Denise volunteers with several boards and committees focusing on education and sports for young people. Denise is the co-founder of the Bradley Hills Education Foundation.
